Q. How long has the party been going?

A. This year's Special Children's Christmas Party will be the 12th Christmas Party to be held in Brisbane. Nationally there are over 20 Christmas Parties with 5 more in New Zealand.

Q. What sort of children attend?

A. There are four major categories of children attending the party. The terminally ill e.g. Children with Cancer, Leukaemia; Children that are physically impaired e.g. Muscular Dystrophy; Children that are intellectually impaired e.g. Down Syndrome; and finally Children that come from severely underprivileged circumstances.

Q. Where do you source the children from?

A. We contact around 600 government and charitable organisations who deal with these children on a daily or weekly basis. E.G. Special Schools, Special Education Units, Leukaemia Foundation, Cerebral Palsy League, Women's Refuges, Department of Families and Shelters. Due to the privacy act, we are not allowed to know the names of children who attend, so we rely on the department heads of organisations such as these to submit children in their care.

Q. I have children that are eligible to attend the party, where can I find out more information?

A. Please Contact Us and we can advise you of all the organisations who we deal with. Perhaps you know you of an organisation that hasn't been invited to submit their children before!

Q. Is the advertising package available tax deductible?

A. As the package is classed as advertising, you may be able to claim the full amount as a tax deduction?

Q. Why is there a G.S.T. (Goods & Services Tax) on the package?

A. Again, because the amount is classed as advertising, we have to charge an amount of 10% G.S.T.

Q. How can I help out more?

A. You can contact us anytime to discuss any help you may be able to give. Click here to go to the Contact Us page.

Q. Can I offer product rather than a monetary support?

A. Of course! We have many 'sponsors' that also help out the event by contributing goods in kind. Again Click here to go to the Contact Us page.
